This year’s Arlington Arts & Crafts Show will take place on
22nd and 23rd June. Applications are open to all. There is
no formal selection process for those exhibiting work - if
you think it is worthy to sell that’s good enough for us. All of
our previous shows have had a great selection of work from
amateurs and professionals at a wide range of prices. We are
keen to encourage newly exhibiting artists. One requirement is
that artists do not show work which has already been shown
at a previous Arlington Art Show. We choose which crafts to
accept in order to ensure a good variety of stalls. Obviously
appearance is important so we expect all art work to be
displayed well and all stalls to be smart and tidy. Please insure
your own work.

Pitches in the Marquee.

We will have approximately 6ft x 6ft pitches available outside or
in a large canvas marquee, in the field next to Arlington Village
Hall for crafts, groups of artists, authors and for sideshows.
Stalls must be manned at all times - you need to provide your
own tables which must be covered with cloth to the floor, no
items should be placed outside of the pitch area and a high
standard of work and stall appearance will be expected. Pitches
may be shared between several people. Setting up will be from
8.30 am on Saturday 22nd June and from 9.30 am on Sunday
23rd June. Stalls must not be packed up until the close of the
event each day. Pitches must be vacated by 6.30 pm on Sunday.
Any items left over night are left entirely at your own risk.

Screens in the hall.

Artists will be able to hang their own work on screens in
Arlington Village Hall. Each screen side has a hanging space of at
least 44 x 44” (110 x 110cm) and artists may book either whole
or half screen sides (split horizontally) up to 2.5 sides per artist.
The art show will open at 10.30am on Friday 21st June.

We will provide hooks, artists must hang their own work
between 7 and 9pm on Thursday 20th June - there must be at
least 2” (5cm) between pictures and no pictures must be hung
over the edges of the screens. Please take this into account
when deciding how many screens to book. Pictures incorrectly
hung will be removed by the organisers. All pictures must be
framed (except in the case of canvases) and ready to hang. A
few paintings on canvas larger than 44 x 44” may be hung on
wall space by prior arrangement.
On arrival on 20th June you will be asked to complete a
catalogue sheet with full details of the pictures you are
exhibiting and any other items you are leaving with us.
Exhibiting artists may leave boxes of up to 50 their own
cards (prints of or original work by the artist only) and up to
4 unframed works for the browser (@ £1 each) - all items
individually wrapped and priced please. We will provide you
with peel-off labels to stick on the back of all the cards you
leave with us. All artists exhibiting in the hall will be asked to
steward.
